[Case Study] Spray Injector <Sulfuric Acid Manufacturer>
Elimination of steam leaks! Introducing a case that achieved an annual increase in profits of over 5.6 million yen.
We would like to introduce a case where the "new spray injector" was implemented at Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), a major manufacturer of sulfuric acid. The company was using a jacket-type injector to spray molten sulfur into the furnace to produce sulfur dioxide (SO2), but steam was leaking from the bellows, putting workers at risk. In response, a new injector was designed and developed specifically for JPMC. The adoption of a special gland packing design eliminated the need for bellows installation, resolving the leakage issue. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - Steam was leaking from the bellows, putting workers at risk. - Excessive humidity was also generated, leading to additional maintenance time. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
